Adam O’day is an exceptional artist who is a longtime resident of Allston, MA and was commissioned to paint a mural that would activate the streetscape and become a unique focal point of The Indie.   Adam was given the freedom to create a mural that was inspired by his personal experiences in Allston.  Here is Adam's perspective on why painting a fox is meaningful to him:  The fox and the coyote are important late-night friends of mine, living in Allston-Brighton. And it is, for me and many others, the place where creativity lives. On a long summer night, when I ride my bike home to Allston, I will likely come across a fox, walking around freely in the early morning stillness. Being in a band and being a visual artist have many things in common. One of them is that I sometimes come home from an event at 3am. Usually, if it was a good night, I'd be coming home around that time, if not later. So, for me, when I see these late-night kings and queens roaming the city streets, I'll secretly know I'd been grinding hard enough to earn a fox sighting. Foxes specifically are known for hunting solo and being inventive survivors.  To see more of Adams work search Adam O'Day on Instagram (@adam_oday) or visit his website at Adamjoday.com
